Facts about the Japanese Garden

Japanese Garden
A Japanese Garden creates miniature idealized landscapes and it is a highly abstract and stylized traditional garden.  The designs of the garden differ on its owner.  For example, gardens of the nobles and Emperors were designed for recreation and aesthetic pleasure while the gardens for Buddhist Temples have Zen-like designs for meditation and contemplation purposes.  A typical Japanese garden has different elements but the use of stones is the most important element of a Japanese garden.  It is influenced by the Chinese gardens but eventually designers developed their own aesthetics using Japanese materials and culture.  The gardens have their own distinct appearance but have also adapted Western Settings.
